Energy Transition – Geoviridien

The Energy Transition involves a series of steps that many companies are making to improve their performance:
- Improve energy efficiency;
- Reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions and waste;
- Implement Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage;
- Increase the use of Renewable Energy;
The Circular Economy is another imperative where companies are working to avoid early abandonment of existing facilities and trying to repurpose them for further environmentally sustainable use. One example is the Oil & Gas industry repurposing some wells to produce clean, renewable geothermal energy and prolonging the economic life by decades.
Renewable energy could encompass a range of solutions depending on the particular characteristics of the specific site. Some locations have good solar radiation, whilst others may have low wind energy. It is important to consider a range of solutions to have a resilient Energy Mix.
